Do you have days when everything in your life seems really bad? Do you ever tell yourself you aren't enough? When you're in a frequency of lack, you can't be in a frequency of abundance.
You have a choice to live in a higher, more positive and abundant frequency. Here is an easy rundown of how you can shift your mindset.
1. Become aware of your negativity.
Sometimes when nothing in our lives is particularly bad, we tend to make things bad. I've noticed when things are going well for me, I can self-sabotage. I find something to go back to that isn't working. You too? We always have to be on guard because we're always protecting ourselves from bad things.
For most of my life, I found myself always focusing on the negative. When I'm choosing to be in this frequency (it is a choice), I notice I tell myself I'm not doing enough or I'm not enough to accomplish things like those I look up to.
This kind of thinking will only put you in a negative headspace.
When this negative mindset sets in, you need to quickly find your block.
What's halting your progress? Try taking a bird's eye view. Recognize yourself and your choices in these hard moments and work to catch the negativity in its tracks. Becoming aware makes it easier to shift your mindset.
2. Make a new choice in the direction of who you really are.
Earlier, I mentioned that having a negative mindset or operating on a lesser frequency is a choice. It may not be a choice you're aware of, but it is a choice. So when you do become self-aware of your negativity, the next thing you can do is choose to change your thoughts.
When you're in a frequency of lack, you can't possibly be in a frequency of abundance. How do you want to live? Let that guide your new choice. Make a choice in the direction of love and in the direction of who you really are.
I have a trick for you that works every time. What you focus on grows. Here's a really simple way to shift from negative/scarcity to positive/abundance.
When you find yourself in that negative frequency, ask yourself these two simple questions:
- What's working really well?
- What can I do today that helps others?
By focusing on something positive you force yourself out of that negative frequency. Direct your thoughts in a positive direction.
3. Step into your abundance and keep moving forward.
Once you've made your new choice, it's time to step into that abundance frequency and keep moving forward one step at a time. Show up every day and keep making those new choices.
Shifting your mindset definitely takes practice, like anything. Do this over and over and eventually, it will become a habit.
And remember, YOU ARE ENOUGH.
